The Glenayre Community Association is looking for a logo to use on, so we’re holding a contest open to members of our community.


The winning Entrant will receive glory, the admiration of your neighbours, and $50.
The winning Entrant shall agree that the Glenayre Community Association is granted exclusive reproduction rights for advertising, promotion, print publication, and Internet purposes.
The winning Entry will become the official new logo for and may be used on website, printed materials and promotional items with no additional monetary compensation.


  1. The Contest is open only to individuals.
  2. Entrants younger than 18 years of age must have parents’ or guardians’ permission to enter.
  3. Entrants must be, or reside with, a member or associate member in good standing of the Glenayre Community Association (i.e. membership fees have been paid for 2011).

How to Enter:

Please include the following information in your Entry email:
  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • If you’re under the age of 18, a parent’s or guardian’s name. Please include your parent or guardian on the email cc list.
  • A brief description of any symbols used in the Entry.
  • The submitted logo images as attachments.
Incomplete information will disqualify your Entry.
All Entries must be received by October 1, 2011 no later than 23h59 Pacific Daylight Time.

Submission Guidelines

  • Each submission must include:
    • a banner of 620x140 pixels
    • a logo of 140x220 pixels
  • Each image MUST be in one of the following formats: PNG, GIF, XCF, or PSD. No vector images, please.
  • Banner MUST include the text, “Glenayre Community Association”, in a font which is free to use for commercial purposes.
  • Each Entry must be the original work and sole and exclusive property of the person who submits it or the Entrant must have written legal permission from the property owner. In the case of property owned by other parties, the written legal permission must be included with the Entry.
  • Artwork that has been previously published or exhibited is not permitted.
  • Up to two (2) entries per participant permitted.
  • Any or all of the entries may be posted on along with the artist’s name.


Submissions will be judged by the members of the Glenayre Community Association executive, with an eye for:
  • Relevance to the city of Port Moody in general, the community of Glenayre in particular.
  • Pleasing composition
The top six submissions will be made available for voting by the community via this web site.
