The Glenayre Community Association Executive Committee would like to thank everyone who goes out of their way to keep our neighbourhood looking tidy. We encourage everyone to do more than your part in picking up litter and debris.

Is your lawn being dug up by varmints in search of European chafer grubs? NOW is when you need to contact your garden centre or lawn maintenance company to put in your order for controlling nematodes to be applied mid-summer.

Crime Alert

There have been a number of auto break-ins in Glenayre of late. It’s never a bad idea to take some precautions:

• Call 604-461-3456 to report suspicious activity in your neighbourhood at once! Call 911 if a crime is in progress!

• If you suspect that a break and enter has occurred, ensure your personal safety and then call police.  Do not touch anything or clean up until officers arrive.

• To help police identify stolen items, take photos of your property, keep receipts and make note of serial numbers and other identifiers.

• Keep valuable items out of plain sight.

• Be a nosy neighbour: get to know your neighbours and recognize when someone who shouldn’t be there is lurking around.
